The Riverside Sports Program has a long and successful multi sports history.

Riverside Basketball was established in 1990 on the strength of its founding members such as Phil Haddad, a Windsor Sports Hall of Fame inductee. Riverside Basketball was established to provide a venue to further enhance the development of the sport of basketball for boys under the age of 19.

Our program strives:

1. To enrich the basketball player as an all-around athlete and person;

2. To pursue excellence in this activity as players, coaches and teams;

3. To encourage communication and harmony between members and the community using athletics as a medium to promote fitness, enjoyment, and education;

4. To apply principals of and to foster an attitude of fair play, integrity, and respect;

5. To ensure that competition and winning are viewed in their proper context as part of but not the primary focus of sport. Winning is desirable, but winning at any cost defeats the purpose of the game;

6. To demonstrate respect for the game, opposing players, officials and teams and;

7. To instill a competitive, winning spirit by demonstrating a sportsmanlike attitude towards defeat and human error.
